CHAPTER 604

An Act to provide how certain town officers in certain counties shall b
chosen, and to repeal certain acts.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. In any county having a population of more than five thousand
three hundred fifty but less than five thousand four hundred fifty and
having only one incorporated town therein, the treasurer of such town
shall be elected in the manner and at the times, and for the term pre-
scribed for other town officers, notwithstanding any other law to the
contrary.

2. All acts in conflict herewith are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
3. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
