An Act to require the payment to counties and cities in which certain
State-owned land is situated of 25% of the proceeds of sale of timber

thereon.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. In the event that the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries,

in the management of any State-owned land under its control, shall cut and
sell or sell for cutting any timber standing on such land, there shall be
paid to the county or city in which is situated the land on which such
timber is located, twenty-five per centum of the proceeds of such sale after
the cost of any road, constructed by the Commission which is necessary
for the sale of timber, has been deducted.
