An Act to authorize the Governor to sell and convey certain real estate
situated in the city of Hampton.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Governor is hereby authorized and empowered to sell and
convey, for such consideration as he deems proper, to any purchaser or
purchasers thereof, all or any portion of the real estate described in that
certain deed dated May fourteen, nineteen hundred forty-six and recorded
in the clerk’s office of the Circuit Court of Elizabeth City County on June
three, nineteen hundred forty-six in Deed Book one hundred thirty-five, at
page three hundred thirteen, whereby the Commonwealth of Virginia
acquired certain real estate then located in Wythe Magisterial District,
Elizabeth City County known and designated as Lots numbered One (1) to
Seventeen (17), both numbers inclusive, in Block Fourteen (14), as
shown on “Plat of Block No. 14, Riverview, Revised East Section” made
by Girard Chambers & Son, Civil Engineers, dated May, nineteen hundred
forty-six, which plat is attached to and made a part of the aforesaid deed;
LESS lots Thirteen (13), Fourteen (14), Fifteen (15), Sixteen (16),
and Seventeen (17) of the above described property which were disposed
of by the Commonwealth by deed dated February sixteenth, nineteen hun-
dred sixty, pursuant to Chapter 26, Acts of Assembly of 1959.
The net proceeds of the sale or sales authorized by this act shall be
paid into the Highway Maintenance and Construction Fund of the State
treasury.
2. Anemergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
