CHAPTER 496

An Act to validate certain contracts between the school boards of counties
and cities, and the governing bodies of such counties and cities relat-
ing to the operation of joint schools for any such counties and cities,
and to provide for the effect of such contracts. CH 501}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

. § 41. All contracts relating to the establishment, operation, and
maintenance of public schools for a city and county jointly, to which con-
tract the school boards and the governing bodies of such county and city
are parties, are hereby ratified, validated and confirmed. The provisions
of any such contract in force on the effective date hereof are declared
legally binding and fully enforceable, superseding all prior contracts of
whatsoever nature concerning the same subject matters.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
