CHAPTER 495

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
13.1-256.1, so as to provide for notification to certain clerks of courts
by the State Corporation Commission of certain dissolutions of cor-

porations.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
13.1-256.1, as follows:

§ 13.1-256.1. Upon the dissolution or reinstatement of corporations
under the provisions of §§ 18.1-254, 18.1-255 or 13.1-256, the Commission
shall notify the clerk of the court for the recording of deeds in the cad
or county in which the registered office of the corporation is loca
except that no such notice shall be required in the city of Richmond or
the county of Henrico. The clerk shall note the date of such dissolution
in the charter records of his office.
