CHAPTER 494

An Act to amend and reenact § 20-88.20 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to enforcement of duties of support under the Uniform Reciprocal
Enforcement of Support Act. (H 496]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. p that § 20-88.20 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 20-88.20. All duties of support are enforceable by petition irrespec-
tive of relationship between the obligor and obligee. Jurisdiction of all
proceedings hereunder shall be vested in the circuit or corporation court,
or juvenile and domestic relations court, of the county or city in which
the obligee resides, or where the duty of support last arose, at the option
of the obligee. It shall be the duty of the attorneys for the Commonwealth
of the several counties and cities to represent petitioners in proceedings
under this chapter.
