An Act to amend and reenact § 8-200 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to peremptory challenges of jurors. CH 451)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

a That § 8-200 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 8-200. In every case the plaintiff and defendant may each chal-
lenge three jurors peremptorily when the jury consists either of five or
of seven. In no case shall more than three peremptory challenges be
allowed each side, even though there be more than one plaintiff or more
than one defendant.
