An Act to authorize the Medical College of Virginia to borrow funds for
the purpose of constructing certain facilities; and to tssue revenue
onds therefor; to provide from what revenues such bonds shall be
repaid, and to impose certain restrictions and conditions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Board of Visitors of the Medical College of Virginia is
hereby authorized to borrow, from the United States or an agency thereof
or from any other source, funds for the purpose of erecting a building for
the housing of ambulatory patients and members of their families, offices
for medical faculty, laboratories, and other related medical and service
facilities at a total cost not to exceed three million dollars, and to
issue revenue bonds for the repayment of said loan; such bonds shall be
solely payable from the revenue derived from rentals received from opera-
tion of the building; provided, however, that the Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia shall not at any time be required to provide funds for the operation
or maintenance of said buildi
§ 2. The full faith and credit of the State shall not be pledged to
secure in any way such bonds.
§ 3. Except as herein otherwise provided, the provisions of Chapter
8 of Title 23 of the Code of Virginia shall be applicable to and complied
with in the transactions authorized by this act.
§ 4. The construction shall be in accordance with the Manual for
the Planning and Execution of Capital Outlays, Commonwealth of Virginia.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force upon passage.
