An Act to amend and reenact § 46.1-209 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to sounding of warning signals. rH 73)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 46.1-209 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 46.1-209. The driver of an overtaking motor vehicle when travel-
ing outside of a business or residence district shall, when necessary to
insure safe operation, give audible warning with his horn or other warning
device before passing or attempting to pass a vehicle proceeding in the
same direction.
