An Act to authorize the Governor to execute, in the name of the Common-
wealth, a deed conveying unto Lafayette Yacht Club certain formerly
submerged lands in the Lafayette River at Norfolk, Virginia. _

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The Governor is hereby authorized to execute and deliver, in
the name of the Commonwealth, a proper deed of conveyance, in form
approved by the Attorney General, under the lesser seal of the Common-
wealth, conveying unto Lafayette Yacht Club, a Virginia corporation
chartered on January eighteen, nineteen hundred sixty-one, all right, title
and interest of the Commonwealth in and to the following described prop-
erty, or any part thereof:
All that certain parcel of formerly submerged land lying and being
in Norfolk, Virginia, and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the north line of New Jersey Avenue at its
intersection with the west line of Llewellyn Avenue extended, thence N.
69° 51’ W., 10.50 feet to a point; thence N. 19° 41’ E., a distance of 1692.53
feet to a point; thence S. 64° 49’ E., 386.25 feet to a point; thence S. 27°
37’ W., 232.90 feet to a point; thence N. 31° 50’ W., 155.82 feet to a point
on a circle having a radius of 128.73 feet; thence on an arc in a southwest-
erly direction on said circle 287.63 feet to a point; thence 8S. 20° 09 W.,
along a line to the point and place of beginning and being more particularly
shown on a plat of survey entitled “Land Accreting to the Lafayette Yacht
Club by Virtue of Land Fill into the Lafayette River’, dated February
10, 1960, and revised May 23, 1960, and made by Langley and McDonald,
Consulting Engineers, to which plat reference 1 is here made.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
