An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
29-114.2, so as to authorize the Commission of Game and Inland
Fisheries to permit the taking and transportation of certain birds,
and to use the same in hunting and taking game and fowl; and to
provide for licenses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
29-114.2, as follows:
§ 29-114.2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Com-
mission may:
(1) permit the taking, trapping, holding, transportation, carriage
and shipment of live falcons, hawks and owls; provided that the fee for
such permit shall be five dollars and such permit shall entitle the holder
thereof to have in possession at any one time not more than two of
any such birds.
(2) authorize the use of falcons, hawks, and owls to hunt and take
all species of wild birds and wild animals; provided that the hunting of
migratory game birds shall be in accordance with § 29-137; and pro-
vided further that appropriate hunting licenses shall be required as pro-
vided in chapter 5 of this Title.
