CHAPTER 325

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding section numbered 42-
82.1, authorizing the Library Board to accept and to distribute federal
funds for certain purposes subject to the approval of the Governor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
42-32.1 as follows:

§ 42-32.1. The Library Board is empowered, subject to approval of
the Governor, to accept grants of federal funds for libraries and to allo-
cate such funds to public libraries under any plan approved by the Board
and the appropriate federal authorities. Such allocations shall not be
subject to the restrictions of this chapter.
