An Act to amend and reenact § 18.1-158, as amended, of the Code of Vir-
ginta, relating to the injury of certain gas or electric apparatus, a
to the unlawful use of gas or electricity, so as to make it also applicable
to the injury of certain water apparatus, and to the unlawful use of
water.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 18.1-158, as amended, of the Code of Virginia, be amended
and reenacted as follows:
18.1-158. Any person who shall unlawfully injure or destroy, or,
having the right to prevent it, shall permit to be injured or destroyed,
any reservoir, or supply of gas or water, or any meter, pipe, conduit,
wire, line, post, lamp or other apparatus * used in the manufacture,
processing or sale of electricity or gas for lighting or power purposes,
or water, or who shall unlawfully prevent an electric, * gas or water
meter from duly registering the quantity of electricity, * gas or water
supplied, or in any way unlawfully interfere with its proper action or
just registration, or who shall * unlawfully divert any electric current
from any wire, * or who shall otherwise unlawfully use or cause to be
used * any electricity, * gas or water, * shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
