An Act to ratify, validate and confirm the acceptance by the Governor
on behalf of the Commonwealth of certain property conveyed to the
Commonwealth by the United States of America. tH '

Whereas, on July 29, 1963, the United States of America, acting
pursuant to law, by quit claim deed of the same date conveyed certain
property to the Commonwealth of Virginia for use in developing a co-
operative graduate program in connection with the proposed space
radiation effects laboratory at Newport News, and the Governor, acting
on behalf of the Commonwealth and pursuant to law, accepted the property
so conveyed; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The acceptance by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia,
on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, on July 29, 1968, of a
conveyance to the Commonwealth by the United States of America,
og through its duly authorized agents, by deed bearing the same date,
eying approximately 347.97 acres of land, is hereby ratified, validated
confirmed. Said property is designated as the Oyster Point Back-Up
age Area and is more particularly described in the deed of conveyance.
Commonwealth agrees to be bound by the covenants, exceptions,
rvations, conditions and restrictions contained in such deed.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
