CHAPTER 197

An Act to authorize and direct the transfer of certain certificates to the
name of the Educational Foundation of Old Dominion College.

Whereas, there is in the possession of the Old Dominion College a
certificate of Massachusetts Investors Trust, account number 15170-025-9,
registered in the name of ‘‘Lewis W. Webb, Jr., Dean, Norfolk Division of
William and Mary College, Hampton Boulevard, Norfolk, Virginia’; and

Whereas, there is also in the possession of such college, stock cer-
tificate No. A086342 of the Lone Star Cement Corporation, dated January
11, 1963, issued in the name of “Norfolk College of William and Mary of
the Colleges of William and Mary” and representing ownership of one
hundred eighty shares in said corporation; and

Whereas, it was the intent of the donors of such certificates that they
be the property of the Educational Foundation of Old Dominion College,
now, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. The President of Old Dominion College is hereby authorized and
directed to transfer the certificate of Massachusetts Investors Trust, ac-
count number 15170-025-9, registered in the name of “Lewis W. Webb,
Jr., Dean, Norfolk Division of William and Mary College, Hampton Boule-
vard, Norfolk, Virginia” and Lone Star Cement Corporation stock cer-
tificate No. A086342, issued in the name of “Norfolk College of William
and Mary of the Colleges of William and Mary”, to the Educational Founda-
tion of Old Dominion College, and to do such other acts as are necessary
to effectuate such transfer.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
