An Act to provide when certain property becomes taxable.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, if
any property which is exempt from taxation is sold by the tax-exempt
owner thereof to any person who does not have tax-exempt status, the
same shall immediately become subject to taxation and be assessed there-
for. The tax levied for the current year shall be prorated for the re-
mainder of such year. ,
