CHAPTER 593

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
18.1-119.1, prohibiting the making of false statements in writing with
the intent to acquire certain real property thereby and to dispose of
same in violation of such agreement; and to provide penalties for
violations.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
18.1-119.1 as follows:

§ 18.1-119.1. It shall be unlawful for any purchaser falsely to repre-
sent in writing in any contract for the purchase of real estate that the
property referred to in such contract is intended for use as the personal
residence of such purchaser. Any person who violates any provision of
om section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished as provided by
aw.
