An Act to amend and reenact § 14-27 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to when the Comptroller shall pay officers and employees. rH 568]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

a That § 14-27 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 14-27. The Comptroller shall draw his warrants on the State
Treasurer for the payment of officers’ and employees’ salaries * on such
dates as may be prescribed by him. Such salaries shall be paid * every
two weeks, semimonthly or monthly at his discretion and not later, in any
event, than ten days after the close of the payroll period for which such
payment is made.
