An Act to appropriate funds for the repair of a monument to the memory
of James Pleasants.

Whereas, the Goochland County Chapter of the United Daughters of
Confederacy, in October, 1960, repaired the monument at Cardwell,
Virginia, erected in the memory of James Pleasants at the cost of twenty-
pve dollars and it is proper that they be reimbursed therefor; now, there-
ore, ,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is appropriated from the general fund of the State Treasury to
the Goochland County Chapter of the United Daughters of Confederacy
the sum of twenty-five dollars to reimburse such chapter for repairs to the
monument erected at Cardwell, Virginia, in memory of James Pleasants.
The check shall be issued by the State Treasurer on warrant prepared by
the Comptroller upon evidence that such repairs have heretofore been made.
