CHAPTER 514

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
29-184.6, relating to the payment of dog license tax into the county
treasury.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
29-184.6 as follows:

§ 29-184.6. Notwithstanding the provisions of §§ 29-206 and 29-209
or any other provision of law, the dog license tax, for any year or years,
collected by the treasurer of any county in which a county dog warden has
been appointed under the provisions of §§ 29-184.2 or 29-184.3, shall, upon
the adoption of an ordinance imposing a dog license tax in such county,
be paid into the county treasury regardless of whether the governing body
of such county had adopted an ordinance imposing such dog license tax
prior to the collection of such tax.
