CHAPTER 429
An Act for the relief of Botetourt County.

Whereas, the county of Botetourt was authorized to levy a tax on
bank stock, at the rate of eighty per centum of the rate of taxation by
the State of Virginia, of Eagle Rock Bank, Inc., and now has a county
ordinance levying such tax upon shares of stock issued by any bank or
trust company whose principal office is located within the county of Bote-
tourt, but did not have such ordinance for the tax year nineteen hundred
sixty-one; and
Whereas, it is only proper that the county of Botetourt receive such
tax; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the State
treasury the sum of seven hundred and forty dollars to be paid into the
treasury of the county of Botetourt by the State Treasurer on warrant of
the Comptroller.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
