CHAPTER 381
An Act to provide for the compensation of councilmen in cities with a
population between seventy thousand and seventy-five thousand in-
habitants.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. In any city of the Commonwealth with a population between seventy
thousand and seventy-five thousand inhabitants where no provision is
made in the charter for the compensation of councilmen, councilmen
shall receive such compensation for their services as the council may by
majority vote of its members determine, not to exceed two hundred
dollars per month for councilmen and two hundred fifty dollars per
month for the mayor.
