An Act to amend and reenact § 87-33 of the Code of Virginia, relating to
compensation and expenses of members of the State Hostal 3 401

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. " That § 37-33 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:
§ 37-33. The members of the State Hospital Board shall receive no
salaries, but shall be paid their necessary traveling and other expenses
incurred in attendance upon meetings, or while otherwise engaged in the
discharge of their duties, and the sum of * fifteen dollars a day for each
day or portion thereof in which they are engaged in the performance of
their duties, provided that such per diem shall not exceed * nine hundred
dollars a year for each member.
The compensation and expenses authorized to be paid to the members
of the Board, the secretary and its chief executive officer shall be paid by
the State Treasurer, out of funds appropriated to the Board, and the
several hospitals and colonies under its supervision, on warrants of the
Comptroller issued upon vouchers signed by the chairman of the Board
or by such other person or persons as designated by it for such purpose.
