An Act to create a commission to complete a study and report on the
boundary line between Alleghany County, Virginia, and Monroe
County, West Virginia; and. to appropriate funds for the use of the
Commission.

Whereas, in nineteen hundred and fifty-eight the General Assembly
created a commission to study and make a report on the true and correct
boundary between Alleghany County, Virginia, and Monroe County, West
Virginia; and
Whereas, the Commission was unable to complete its study and re-
port before the time fixed for such report; and
Whereas, only a portion of the money appropriated for the purpose
was expended before the appropriation expired; and
Whereas, substantial work is required to complete the important
task assigned the committee; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. §1. There is hereby created a commission to complete a study here-
tofore commenced and make a report on the true and correct boundary
oetween Alleghany County, Virginia, and Monroe County, West Virginia.
All agencies of the State shall assist the commission and the commission
shall cooperate with any commission established for a like purpose by
the State of West Virginia. The commission shall complete its study
and make its report to the Governor and General Assembly not later than
November one, nineteen hundred sixty-three.
§ 2. The commission shall consist of three members who shall be
appointed by the Governor from the State at large. The members of the
commission shall receive no compensation, but shall be reimbursed their
actual and necessary expenses while engaged in the business of the
commission.
2. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund of the State
treasury the sum of two thousand dollars to carry out the purposes of
this act.
