CHAPTER 347
An Act to direct the State Library Board to erect certain highway markers
in Prince George and Sussex counties designating the route of the
“Beefsteak Raid”.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. From funds provided by law, the State Library Board shall erect two
historical markers in appropriate places in Prince George and Sussex
counties respectively, designating the route of the “Beefsteak Raid’’ led
by General Wade Hampton of the Army of the Confederate States of
America during the War Between the States.
