An Act to authorize counties, cities and towns to acquire and preserve
places and things of historical interest.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Any county, city or town may acquire by purchase or gift sites,
landmarks, structures and records of historical interest and value to the
State and may restore and preserve the same, or may convey the same
to a nonstock corporation chartered under Virginia law for the purposes
of acquiring and preserving such places and things; and may appropriate
money to any such corporation.
