CHAPTER 296

An Act to amend Chapter 107 of the Acts of Assembly of 1901, approved
February 18, 1901, which incorporated and provided a charter for
the town of ‘Jonesville by adding a section numbered 4-a, relating
to powers of town.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That chapter one hundred seven of the Acts of Assembly of 1901,
approved February thirteen, nineteen hundred one, be amended by
adding a section numbered four-a as follows:

§ 4-a. The Council shall have the power to adopt and enforce ordi-
nances with respect to property owned by the town immediately adjacent
to the town but outside the town in all respects as if such property were
in the town
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
