CHAPTER 262

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
2-66.2, to authorize the Director of the Budget, with the approval of
the Governor, to execute leases upon certain State property, and to
provide how revenue therefrom shall be deposited. rH 503}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
2-66.2, as follows:

§ 2-66.2. The Director of the Budget, with the written approval of
the Governor first obtained, may lease property owned by the Common-
wealth which has been or is hereafter acquired for the development of
the State site plan for permanent State office buildings and related struc-
tures and facilities lying near the Capitol Square. All such leases shall be
prepared by the Attorney General; they may run for such time as the
Governor may prescribe and shall be for such rental as appears proper.
All rentals received therefrom shall be paid into the general fund of the
State treasury.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
