An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
4-84.1, to provide for storage of certain alcoholic beverages in certain
Warehouses.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
49 ‘ That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
‘4, as follows:
be $484.1. (a) Notwithstanding the provisions of § 4-84, alcoholic
bo ages not under United States customs bonds or internal revenue
h may be transported into Virginia and stored in Virginia in ware-
OUses which have been approved by the Board for that purpose.
The Board may refuse to approve any warehouse as a place where
alcoholic beverages may be stored if it shall have reasonable cause to be-
leve that the owner or operator of such warehouse is a person to whom
or the place sought to be approved is one for which the Board may refuse
to grant a license under the provisions of § 4-31, which shall apply mutatis
mutandis, unless it is clearly apparent that the provisions of such section
sought to be used is inapplicable.
The Board may disapprove any warehouse which has been approved
as a place where alcoholic beverages may be stored if it shall have reason-
able cause to believe that a ground exists which would warrant the sus-
pension or revocation of a license under the provisions of § 4-37, which
shall apply mutatis mutandis, unless it is clearly apparent that the pro-
visions of such section sought to be used are inapplicable. oo
(b) Such alcoholic beverages stored in such warehouses in Virginia
shall be released only on permits issued by the Board for delivery to the
Board or to persons entitled to receive the same in Virginia or outside the
tate.
(c) The Board shall have the power to make such regulations as it
deems expedient or necessary for the purpose of carrying out the provisions
of this section and to insure that such alcoholic beverages shall be handled
only in a manner provided by law.
