CHAPTER 529

An Act to amend and reenact § 15-93 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to bonds of certain city officers.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 15-93 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
follows:

§ 15-93. The bond of the treasurer shall be conditioned for the
faithful performance of his duties and in other respects as required by the
general law and shall be in penalty not greater than one-half the amount
of State funds to be received by him annually, * nor less than * fifteen
per centum thereof.

The bond of the commissioner of the revenue and the bond of the
city sergeant shall likewise be conditioned for the faithful performance
by such officers of their respective duties and otherwise comply with
the provisions of the general law. The penalty of the bond of the
commissioner of the revenue shall be not less than twenty-five hundred
dollars and that of the city sergeant not less than one thousand dollars.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
