An Act to authorize the Board of Visitors of the College of Wilham ana
Mary, with the approval of the Governor, to convey certain property.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. With the approval of the Governor in writing first obtained,
the Board of Visitors of the College of William and Mary in Virginia is
authorized to convey, by deed of correction prepared by the Attorney
General all right, title and interest of the Commonwealth and the College
in and to the property described below to the respective grantees set
forth:
Parcel A: to the United States of America:
Beginning at a point on the property line between the Colonial Na-
tional Monument Parkway and the College of William and Mary, said
point being 1172.14’ as measured along the property line between the
College and the Parkway from its intersection with the southern line of
Francis Street; thence from said point of beginning S 15° 18’ W along
the western property line of the Parkway for a distance of 58.0’ to a point;
thence N 83° 57’ W for a distance of 125.0’ to a point, thence S 51° 03’ W
for a distance of 77.8’ to a point; thence S 6° 00’ W for a distance of 243.10’
to a point on the boundary line between the Colonial Parkway and the Col-
lege of William and Mary, thence N 29° 12’ W for a distance of 306.91’ to
a concrete monument marking the property line between the College and
the city of Williamsburg (Tazewell Hall Ave.) thence N 14° 49’ 56” E along
the eastern line of Tazewell Hall Ave. for a distance of 60.00’ to a concrete
monument marking the property line between the City and the College,
thence N 88° 48’ E for a distance of 360.0’ to the point of beginning and
containing 1.01 acres. The bearings shown are referred to the meridian of
the Virginia State System of Plane Coordinates.
Parcel B: to the City of Williamsburg:
Beginning at a concrete monument marking the intersection of the
northern line of Tazewell Hall Ave. with the east occupational line of South
Henry Street, said monument being S 1° 52’ 05” W 936.1’ more or less as
measured in a straight line from an iron rod marking the southeast corner
of Francis and South Henry Streets; thence from said point of beginning
N 85° 53’ 20” E along the northern line of Tazewell Hall Avenue for a
distance of 109.62’ to a concrete monument, thence along the arc of a curve
to the right having a central angle of 19° 55’ and a radius of 1803.24’ for a
distance of 453.02’ to a concrete monument, thence S 66° 12’ 20” E for a
distance of 43.35’ to a concrete monument marking the line of Colonial
National Monument Parkway; thence along the line of said Parkway S 14°
49’ 56” W for a distance of 60.00’ to a concrete monument marking a change
in direction of said Parkway’s line; thence N 54° 30’ 30” W for a distance
of 17.90’ to a concrete monument, thence N 74° 11’ 40” W for a distance of
27.08’ to a concrete monument; thence along the arc of a curve to the left
having a central angle of 19° 55’ and a radius of 1243.24’ for a distance
of 432.16’ to a concrete monument; thence S 85° 53’ 20” W for a distance
of 107.62’ to a concrete monument, marking the intersection of the southern
line of said avenue with the east occupational line of South Henry Street;
thence N 6° 02’ 10” W along the east occupational line of South Henry
Street for a distance of 60.02’ to the point of beginning and containing
0.82 acre. The bearings shown are referred to the meridian of the Virginia
State System of Plane Coordinates.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
