An Act to amend and reenact § 19-92.1, as amended, of the. Code of
Virginia, relating to the appointment of bail commissioners in certain
cities.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 19-92.1, as amended, of the Code of Virginia, be amended and
reenacted as follows: _.
§ 19-92.1. The Circuit Court of the City of Williamsburg and County
of James City, or the judge thereof in vacation, the Hustings Court of the
city of Roanoke, or the judge thereof in vacation, or any court of record
in the city of Newport News or the judge thereof in vacation, and any
court of record in the city of Waynesboro, or the judge thereof in vacation,
each may appoint one of the commissioners in chancery of the court bail
commissioner for such city. Such bail commissioner shall have the same
powers and duties in respect to the cities of Williamsburg, Roanoke, New-
port News and Waynesboro as bail commissioners for counties have in
respect to their counties.
An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
