An Act to amend and reenact § 1 of Chapter 459 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1956, approved March 80, 1956, relating to seasons and means of
taking or gigging carp in the Shenandoah River in certain counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 1 of Chapter 459 of the Acts of Assembly of 1956, approved
March 30, 1956, be amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 1. It shall be lawful for any person, while either in or on such
river or on any bank or shore thereof, to take German carp by means
of gigs, including bows and arrows, and artificial lights from the Shenan-
doah River in the counties of Page, * Clarke and Warren, * during the
daytime between the first day of May and the thirtieth day of June in any
year; but every such person shall have a current license to fish in the
county in which he shall gig, or attempt to gig, any such carp. Provided,
however, that carp may be gigged in said river at any time in the counties
of Shenandoah and Rockingham.
