An Act to amend and reenact § 9-16.1 of the Code of Virginia, so as ta
eliminate the first and last paragraphs thereof.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 9-16.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted so as
to read as follows:
§ 9-16.1 * The Commission shall have the power to conduct investiga-
tions as to whether or not monopolies, combinations or other restraints
exist to restrain matches or exhibitions of professional boxing or wrestling
anywhere in this State and to this end * may employ the powers set forth
in § 9-20 of the Code. If the Commission requires the assistance of the
Attorney General and applies to him therefor, the Attorney General may
assist the Commission in its investigations. The Attorney Genéral in the
conduct of any such investigation shall be reimbursed from that portion
of the funds of the Commission appropriated to the State under the pro-
visions of § 9-47.
