CHAPTER 290

An Act to amend and reenact § 38.1-296 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to certificates of qualification required of certain agents. CH 595}

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 88.1-296 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 38.1-296. Every individual who desires to obtain a license as an
agent to solicit, negotiate or effect any kind of insurance defined and
classified in Article 2 of Chapter 1 of this title except life insurance, an-
nuities, accident and sickness insurance, fraternal benefit insurance, mutual
assessment fire insurance * , ocean marine insurance and title insurance,
shall first obtain a certificate of qualification from the Commission.
