CHAPTER 251

An Act to amend and reenact § 1-18.86 of the Code of Virginia, provid-
ing what provisions of law shall not be affected by § 1-18.85 of the

Code.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

La That § 1-13.36 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 1-13.36. The provisions of § 1-13.35 shall not apply to, or limit
the distribution of any State funds, grants-in-aid, or other allocation from
the State treasury, to any county, city, town or other political subdivision
of the State; nor shall such section limit the creation of a new judicial
circuit or the division of an existing judicial circuit or the designation of
judges therefor when such creation of a new judicial circuit, division of a
circuit, or designation of judges therefor is expressly contingent upon the
results of the census of 1960 under legislation adopted by the General
Assembly of nineteen hundred fifty-eight.
