An Act to amend and reenact § 14-56.1, as amended, of the Code of Vir-
ginia, relating to the compensation allowed individual members of}
county boards of supervisors.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 14-56.1, as amended, of the Code of Virginia, be amended anc
reenacted as follows:
§ 14-56.1. After January one, nineteen hundred and sixty, the annua
compensation to be allowed each member of the board of supervisors of any
county, to be determined by the board within the limits hereinafter set
forth, shall be as follows:

Albemarle—not less than four hundred and eighty nor more than nine
hundred dollars with an additional sixty dollars to the chairman ;
Alleghany—nine hundred dollars;
Amelia—twelve hundred dollars;

Appomattox—four hundred dollars;
Arlington—three thousand dollars;
Augusta—not more than one thousand dollars;
Bath—not less than three hundred nor more than six hundred dollars;
Bedford—not less than two hundred fifty nor more than * one thousand
dollars with an additional one hundred dollars to the chairman, and any
member thereof who is responsible for the management of any county lake
shall receive in addition to his regular compensation not more than one
thousand dollars;
