CHAPTER 144

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
16.1-48.2, to permit the governing bodies of certain counties to sup-
plement the salaries of judges of county courts.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
16.1-43.2 as follows: en

§ 16.1-43.2. In any county adjoining a city lying wholly within this
State having a population of two hundred thirty thousand or more and
having the executive, manager, or other optional form of government in
operation, the governing body of such county may supplement the salaries
of the judges of the county courts. Nothing in this section shall affect the
salaries paid to such judges by the State.
