CHAPTER 137
An Act to establish the boundary between certain properties owned by the
city of Staunton and the State, respectively.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The property line between the lands of Western State Hospital and
the city of Staunton, which lands abut upon Greenville Avenue shall be as
hereinafter set forth upon and as shown on a plat entitled “Plat showing
property line as agreed upon between Virginia State Hospital Board
and the city of Staunton, Virginia,” dated September 16, 1958, and drawn
by C. M. Moyer, Jr., City Engineer, as the line from “A” to “B”, said line
bearing S68°-04’W 158.15’, from “A” to “B”’.
The line between the properties is marked by a chain link fence erected
on top of and in the center of the masonry wall, said line being marked in
red on the above mentioned plat, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the east line of Greenville Avenue, said point
being at the intersection of the east line of Greenville Avenue and the
center line of a masonry wall, and said point being 0.44” southwest of
point “A”: thence leaving Greenville Avenue, and running with the center
of the masonry wall, S68°-01’E 50.00’; S68°-O0VE 50.007”; S68°-0@’E
38.50; and S70°-33’E 19.65’ to “B”’.
The area in question is a piece of ground 158.15’ long and approxi-
mately 0.49 wide and is occupied by a stone masonry retaining wall sup-
porting the property owned by the city of Staunton. _
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
