CHAPTER 20
An Act to appropriate to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the City of
Richmond from the general fund of the State Treasury the sum of
seven thousand dollars for each year of the biennium July 1, 1956-
June 80, 1958, to pay the salary and expenses provided for in
§§ 14-155.12 and 15-10.1 of the Code of Virginia for the said biennium.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there is hereby appropriated to the Clerk of the Circuit Court
of the City of Richmond, out of the general fund of the State Treasury,
the sum of seven thousand dollars for each year of the biennium com-
mencing July first, nineteen hundred fifty-six and ending June thirtieth,
nineteen hundred fifty-eight, for the purpose of paying to said Clerk the
annual salary of three thousand five hundred dollars provided for in
§ 14-155.12 of the Code of Virginia and to pay expenses provided for the
Circuit Court of the City of Richmond for said biennium under the provi-
sions of § 15-10.1 of the Code, not to exceed three thousand five hundred
dollars each year.
The salary of the Clerk shall be paid in equal monthly installments
commencing on the effective date hereof with the first such payment to
include past due installments from July first, nineteen hundred fifty-six.
2. An emergency exists and this act shall be in force from its passage.
