Approved March 29, 1958
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
38.1-477.2, as follows:
§ 88.1-477.2. A policy of group life insurance may be issued, with or
without medical examination, covering not less than twenty-five members
of any veterans’ organization chartered by the Congress of the United
States. The policy shall be issued to such organization and the premiums
shall be paid by such organization. The policy shall insure a portion or all
of the members of such organization for amounts of insurance payable
upon some plan which shall preclude individual selection, and for the
benefit of persons other than the officer holding the post corresponding to
that of president. The members of such organization may obtain additional
insurance through such association, if they furnish evidence of insurability
satisfactory to the company.
