CHAPTER 489

An Act to provide that a conviction for driving under the influence of
intoxicants or some other self-administered drug under State law
or local ordinance shall not affect the right of the person convicted to
operate a tractor upon the highways. CH 611]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. The conviction of a person for driving under the influence of
intoxicants or some other self-administered drug in violation of any
State law or local ordinance shall not operate to prevent or prohibit such
person from operating a farm tractor upon the highways when it is neces-
sary to move such tractor from one tract of land used for agricultural pur-
poses to another tract of land used for the same purposes, provided that the
distance between the said tracts of land shall not exceed five miles.
