An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
15-10.1:2, relating to procedure for adoption of revision and recodifi-
cation of ordinances in certain counties. (H 87]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section num-
bered 15-10.1:2 as follows:
§ 15-10.1:2. Any county adjoining a city having a population in
excess of two hundred thirty thousand, or any county having a population
in excess of two thousand persons per square mile, and having authority
to adopt ordinances under § 15-10, may adopt a general revision and recodi-
fication of its ordinances without publication of same as required in § 15-10,
provided, that notice of intention to propose such revision and recodifica-
tion shall be given as required by § 15-10, and provided further, that copies
of such proposed revision and recodification are available for public inspec-
tion in the office of the clerk of the board of supervisors for at least two
weeks prior to the meeting at which the same is proposed to be adopted.
