CHAPTER 316

An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding § $8-15.1 thereto, requir-
ing the State Highway Commission to furnish certain information
regarding right of way transactions. CH 483]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding § 33-15.1 thereto to
read as follows:

§ 33-15.1. Upon written request to the Central Office of the Depart-
ment of Highways, the State Highway Commission shall furnish informa-
tion regarding right of way transactions where any public funds are
expended. Such information shall not be released prior to one year follow-

ing the transaction to any person not a party directly interested in such
transaction. .

The information referred to herein shall consist of the following: (1)
name of the person to whom any sum was paid for land or interest therein ;
(2) the amount of land or interest therein acquired from such person; and
(8) the amount paid such person for land and the amount paid for damage
resulting to the remaining property of such person.
