CHAPTER 313

An Act to amend and reenact § 58-648, as amended, of the Code of
Virginia, and to repeal § 58-648.1 of the Code of Virginia, both relat-
ing to the road tax on certain motor vehicle carriers. CH 448)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 58-643, as amended, of the Code of Virginia, be amended and
reenacted as follows:

§ 58-643. This article shall not apply to * urban and suburban bus
lines which are hereby defined as bus lines the majority of whose passen-
gers use the buses for travelling a distance of not exceeding forty miles,
measured one way, on the same day between their places of abode and
their places of work, shopping areas, or schools.

2. § 58-648.1 of the Code of Virginia is repealed.
