CHAPTER 308

An Act to amend and reenact § 2 of Chapter 58 of the Acts of Assembly
of 1956, approved February 16, 1956, relating to authority of the State
Highway Commission to construct, reconstruct and maintain certain
highways.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 2 of Chapter 58 of the Acts of Assembly of 1956, approved
February 16, 1956, be amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 2. The State Highway Commission is authorized to enter upon the
right of way conveyed in accordance with § 1 of this act, clear the same of
all obstructions, and to construct, reconstruct and maintain such highway,
expending for such purpose moneys * provided for the construction, re-
construction and maintenance of highways; provided that no portion of
funds required for such clearance and construction and reconstruction
shall be charged against moneys allocated for the secondary system of
highways in the county of King William. Upon completion of the con-
struction herein authorized, such highway shall become a part of the sec-
ondary road system and be maintained as such.
