CHAPTER 3

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of ten million dollars from the unappro-
priated surplus in the General Fund of the State treasury to the
Literary Fund. g

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. There is hereby appropriated to the Literary Fund from the unappro-
priated surplus in the General Fund of the State treasury the sum of ten
million dollars, but transfers from such surplus to the Literary Fund
shall only be made pursuant to written requests therefor from the State
Board of Education to meet current disbursements.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
