An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 15-
20.5, to authorize the governing bodies of counties to regulate and re-
quire permits for the installation of septic tanks therein. CH 414]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
15-20.5 as follows:

§ 15-20.5. The governing body of any county may by ordinance reg-
ulate the installation of septic tanks on property located therein, and may
require any person desiring to install a septic tank to secure a permit to
do so and may prescribe reasonable fees for the issuance of such permits.
