An Act to amend and reenact § 4-118.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the keeping of unauthorized alcoholic beverages in the premises of
licensed establishments, to except certain private dining rooms in
certain licensed restaurants from the prohibition against keeping
certain of such beverages therein. CH 877]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 4-118.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 4-118.1. No person who holds a license issued under the provisions
of this chapter shall keep or allow to be kept upon the premises described
in his license any alcoholic beverages or beverages other than those which
he is authorized by such license or this chapter to purchase and to sell,
with the following exceptions:
(a) Any club operating under a license issued under this chapter
may keep for its members any alcoholic beverages or beverages lawfully
acquired by such members and permit the consumption of the same upon
the licensed premises;
(b) The Board may grant a permit authorizing such person to keep
upon his premises, for culinary purposes only, alcoholic beverages which
he is not authorized by any license to sell.
(ce) Nothing in this section shall prohibit the keeping or consumption
of any lawfully acquired alcoholic beverages in private dining rooms
approved by the Board in restaurants licensed by such Board while such
rooms are in use for private meetings or private parties limited in attend-
ance to members and guests of a particular group, association or organt-
