Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section numbered
29-189.1, permitting killing of beaver when crops and lands are being
damaged by such animals. CH 272]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section
ibered 29-139.1 as follows:

§ 29-139.1. When beaver are substantially damaging crops or lands,
owner of the premises, his agent or tenant, may kill such animals, or
2 them killed, under permit obtained from the game warden of the
